And it's excellent to make detailed white trim and built-ins pop. It does not look pink in most situations. Am I on the right track here? I did decide to significantly lighten this room and it's now painted a very pale grey, called China White, which you can see in the second picture below. The Pure White, while not necessarily true to its name, is a good choice of colour for walls, that pair well with grays and cool colour tones such as blues.
